Do you believe that Saturday is a true sabbath and the fixed week that we know has cycled without any interruption since Creation?

If that‘s your creed, then you might have a small technical problem that is called INTERNATIONAL DATE LINE!

This infamous line established in 1884 is a man-made invention on your map that you can find in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

The main purpose of this line is to set the boundary between two calendar days





So, if you cross this line westward you would need to add 1 day to your Gregorian calendar, however crossing the line eastward would make you 1 day younger… in theory of course!

But as you may know, not many things on this crooked world are straight – not even this line. So, to make things nore complicated our world leaders fiddled with this line for about 150 years. Now, it looks like this





You may have two neighbouring islands at the same latitude with with the same time but completely different calendar days. Or in other words: one islander having a sabbath while the other had it yesterday!

Imagine this line going through the Israeli camp on a desert. One side would still have the preparation day while the others already had a sabbath. Total unbiblical nonsense!





But this anomaly exist when you‘re using a man-made calendar o observe G-ds holy days!





This is the „Gregorian illusion“ of calculating the time solely on the Sun!


Let me explain it in details!

If someone decide to travel eastwards around the globe his whole life without stopping and asking for a local time then his calendar would „gain“ a one full year!

So let put this knowledge to the test and see if its compatible with the Word of G-d.

Take for example Noah, his sons and the Ark that rested on the mountains of Ararat after the Flood.

As we know from the book of Genesis, chapter 9, G-d commanded three sons of Noah to multiply and replenish the Earth. So they did as G-d commanded them and began to travel and discover new lands.

Let us assume that at some point of their lives, they would travel so far that eventually they would meet on the other side of the globe where our current INTERNATIONAL DATE LINE is!

Even though the local time would be the same, the calendar days would be different. If they tracked the time like we do today, they would be exactly 24 hours apart. And if they wanted to celebrate sabbath together, it would not be possible!
So who‘s wrong and who‘s right?

Well, according to the Gregorian Calendar they are both correct!

But unfortunately, sabbath was never based on the man-made Gregorian calendar as pope Gregory XIII introduced his calendar in 1582 and before that we had Julian calendar that was even more inaccurate and unbiblical!

Nevertheless, many Christians still believe that Saturday or Sunday is the true sabbath even though this calendar that we follow today didn‘t even exist in the time of Moses!

So, do you believe in this because it‘s the truth? Or is it truth because you believe in this?

Not our faith but G-d as the supreme authority validates the truth!

Fortunately for us G-d is an arbiter of time.

And to show you another absurdity of this Gregorian calendar let‘s assume that the sons of Noah were so „ambitious“ that they decided to travel furthermore to meet again where the Ark is located.

Now they would be 48 hours apart even though they are both at the same place! So in this situation you may have three people standing next to the Ark and arguing about the day of the week!

According to their Gregorian calendar and calculations they would all be correct!

How crazy is that?

If you think this weird situation is not possible then pay attention now.

Thanks to the IDL we can now have three different calendar days at the same time accross the globe!





When it is 6:30 AM in New York on Saturday, it‘s 11:30 PM in American Samoa on Friday, whilst it‘s 00:30 AM in Kiribati on Sunday!

Looks like time travelling really exist!

Things would be even more bizarre if our forefathers decided to travel around the globe through Antarctica! In this extreme example celebrating sabbath would be very difficult if they decided to follow solar calendar, as „one day““ or „one night“ in Antarctica may have… six months. Without modern time measuring instruments they would lose track of time in a matter of days.

Our International Date Line was modified multiple times. These changes were made because of political and economic reaasons. Whoever moved this line to the east or west didn‘t care completely about your sabbath.

Here I will only elaborate on two interesting examples that you can see below highlighted in red

Is the Pacific Ocean’s International Dateline (IDL) recognized by the Creator of time?
In the beginning did our Creator identify a need for an IDL upon earth, and provide for it?
If so, where is, or what is the Creator’s instrument for demarcating days, weeks, months and years?
Since what our Creator makes can never be changed or altered, how is it that the IDL can be moved at the whim of mankind, or the day changed from Saturday to Sunday?
Upon what premise can the continuous weekly cycle be broken to make adjustments?
What is the common denominator between clocks, Saturday, the continuous weekly cycle, the paper wall calendar, and the International Dateline?
What time-centric principles are established in the Scriptures for measuring time?

Let’s say hypothetically, using only “solar” time-keeping, that three Samoan men met in an Island hut and agreed to the terms of a circumnavigation around the world at the equator (assuming that is possible). So, while one man remained on the Island awaiting their return, two Samoan explorers set off on their voyage on day one at sunrise, one traveled east and the other west.

Twenty-four days later, the Samoan man who was left behind welcomed the return of the other two to the Island on the very same day. Now finally reunited in the little Samoan Island hut, each was anxious to give their report and announce the length of their journey.

The Samoan explorer who journeyed westward announced he had traveled for a total of 23 days.
The Samoan explorer who journeyed eastward announced he had traveled for a total of 25 days.
The Samoan who remained at home on the Island shocked them both by proclaiming that precisely 24 days had elapsed.

The man who journeyed westward for 23 days, traveling in the same direction as the sun, actually gained a full day, arriving back at the Island in less time. This is because each day that he traveled, the sun had set 1 hour of the day later (1/24th of a day). Each extra 1 hour period added together over the 23 days actually subtracted a full revolution of the earth from his journey.

The man who journeyed eastward for 25 days, traveling in the opposite direction as the sun, actually lost a full day, arriving back at the Island with an added day longer. This is because each day that he traveled, the sun had set 1 hour earlier (1/24th of a day). Each lost hour added together over each day, adding an extra full revolution of the earth to his journey.

While all three results are different, all three are absolutely correct according to the preset criteria to use strictly the “sun” for measuring time. This occurred as it was based upon the faulty premise that the “sun” is the sole natural time marker. The sun was designed by our Creator to work together with the moon and stars. When they are separated from one another or part of them are ignored, artificial time is created, causing a paradox like this to occur.

The sun was never designed to demarcate one “calendar date” from another, rather, this function was given to the moon. If the Samoan explorers utilized the three-part orchestration of the sun, moon, and stars (natural time) for their 24-hour day circumnavigation of the globe, they would be synchronized together again upon their meeting again. This occurs because the New moon sets the start of months, the count of weeks, and days.

The sun measures the length of the solar year from one spring equinox to the next. It also measures the length of a natural day from sunrise to sunset, dividing the day from the night, and gives light for the journey. Genesis 1:5, Psalms 50:1-2.

The moon was the chosen instrument of the creator to demarcate one astro-lunar-solar year from the next, one lunar month from another, one lunar week from another, and one lunar day from the next. This is done as it displays its 29-30 varying phases coupled with its location in the sky. Wherever one is on earth, he will know which day it is as the moon dictates. Therefore, in the case of the Samoan explorers,dateline-according-to-the-full-moon no matter how many days they may be gone from their island home when they are reunited, it is the same lunar phase displayed in the sky for all three. Thus, time was consistent for all.

The stars assist in keeping time for years and months in cooperation with the moon. As a second witness to the sun, the stars also divide the day from the night and give direction when traveling by night (Genesis 1:16). The starry constellations were created as time divisions.

Once the moon and stars are reestablished to their intended three-part orchestration with the sun, all the natural time markers ordained at creation are instantly restored and operational, as they have NEVER CHANGED. If the Samoan explorers were to measure each day by the three-part orchestration of all the natural time markers, essentially, they would remain in sync with each other throughout their voyage and through to its completion, in perfect harmony.

Ohne die Datumsgrenze würden Reisende auf dem Weg nach Westen bei ihrer Rückkehr feststellen, daß ein Tag mehr vergangen war, als sie dachten, obwohl sie die Tage sorgfältig gezählt hatten. Dies passierte zum ersten Mal der Mannschaft von Magellan nach der ersten Weltumsegelung. Ebenso würde eine "Person", die ostwärts reiste, feststellen, daß ein Tag weniger vergangen war, als sie aufgezeichnet hatte, wie es Phileas Fogg in "In achtzig Tagen um die Welt" von Jules Verne passierte



Es ist unvorstellbar, daß zwei Länder und Menschen, die geografisch so nahe beieinander liegen und dieselbe Tageszeit haben, an unterschiedlichen Tagen G-ttesdienst feiern, ohne daß dazwischen die Sonne untergeht!

Der gesunde Menschenverstand verlangt, daß Adventisten innerhalb der samoanischen Inselgruppe am selben Tag gemeinsam G-ttesdienst feiern sollten. Wie könnte ein sonniger Sabbat in Pago Pago nicht auch der Sabbat in Apia sein, nur weil die samoanische Regierung eine Grenze zwischen Upolu und Tutuila gezogen hat, so dass der Tag Sonntag statt Samstag heißt?



Sicherlich sollten Adventisten in beiden Ländern gemeinsam am selben siebten Tag G-ttesdienst feiern.

Das Dilemma der Datumsgrenze in Samoa zeigt, daß man sich bei der Bestimmung des Sabbats nicht auf die internationale Datumsgrenze stützen kann. Der alttestamentliche Sabbat richtet sich nämlich nicht nach dem modernen Gregorianischen Kalender: Der von Moses verwendete Kalender basierte auf den Mondphasen und nicht auf einem kontinuierlichen Wochenzyklus.

Der alttestamentliche Kalender beginnt jeden Monat am Neumondtag, und die Sabbate finden immer am gleichen Datum statt: Am 8., 15., 22. und 29. des Monats. Deshalb haben die Festtage im driten Buch Mose einen Sabbat am 15. des Monats, und deshalb kommen die Worte "Neumond" und "Sabbat" in der Heiligen Schrift oft zusammen vor.

Der Mond ist die Uhr, die die runde Erde umkreist und die Referenz für die biblische Zeit darstellt. Wenn diese Referenz ignoriert wird, muß sie durch eine willkürliche, von Menschen gemachte Markierung (wie die internationale Datumsgrenze) ersetzt werden.

Der Sabbat wird im ersten Buch Mose eingeführt. Dort heißt es nicht:

"Zählt alle sieben Tage",

sondern:

Und G-tt sprach: Es sollen Lichter an der Himmelsausdehnung sein, zur Unterscheidung von Tag und Nacht, die sollen als Zeichen dienen und zur Bestimmung der Zeiten und der Tage und Jahre, 1.Mo.1,14

Das Wort für Zeiten ist Strongs #H4150, 'religiöse Feste'.

Im ersten Buch Mose wird gesagt, daß die "religiösen Feste" durch die

Lichter an der Himmelsausdehnung 1.Mo.1,14b

gekennzeichnet sind.

Im Buch der Psalmen wird das Licht als der Mond identifiziert

Er hat den Mond gemacht zur Bestimmung der Zeiten; die Sonne weiß ihren Untergang. Ps.104,19

Die Sabbate und Festtage sind durch das Vierte Gebot verbunden, das in zwei verschiedenen Bibelbüchern steht:

Das Vierte Gebot im zweiten Buch Mose bezieht sich eindeutig auf den Sabbat am siebten Tag, der auf der Schöpfung beruht;

Gedenke an den Sabbattag und heilige ihn! Sechs Tage sollst du arbeiten und alle deine Werke tun; aber am siebten Tag ist der Sabbat des Herrn, deines G-ttes; da sollst du kein Werk tun; weder du, noch dein Sohn, noch deine Tochter, noch dein Knecht, noch deine Magd, noch dein Vieh, noch dein Fremdling, der innerhalb deiner Tore lebt. Denn in sechs Tagen hat der Herr Himmel und Erde gemacht und das Meer und alles, was darin ist, und er ruhte am siebten Tag; darum hat der Herr den Sabbattag gesegnet und geheiligt. 2.Mo.20,8-11

das Vierte Gebot im fünften Buch Mose bezieht sich eindeutig auf den Sabbat am siebten Tag, der auf der Befreiung aus Ägypten beruht, die in der Nacht des Sabbats der ungesäuerten Brote stattfand

Halte den Sabbattag und heilige ihn, wie es dir der Herr, dein G-tt, geboten hat! Sechs Tage sollst du arbeiten und alle deine Werke tun; aber am siebten Tag ist der Sabbat des Herrn, deines G-ttes; da sollst du kein Werk tun, weder du, noch dein Sohn, noch deine Tochter, noch dein Knecht, noch deine Magd, noch dein Rind, noch dein Esel, noch all dein Vieh, noch dein Fremdling, der innerhalb deiner Tore ist, damit dein Knecht und deine Magd ruhen wie du. Denn du sollst bedenken, daß du auch ein Knecht gewesen bist im Land Ägypten, und daß der Herr, dein G-tt, dich von dort herausgeführt hat mit mächtiger Hand und ausgestrecktem Arm. Darum hat dir der Herr, dein G-tt, geboten, daß du den Sabbattag halten sollst. 5.Mo.5,12-15

Beachte, daß das Sabbatgebot im fünften Buch Mose nicht die Schöpfung erwähnt, sondern den Auszug aus Ägypten, der am 15. Tag in der Nacht stattfand. Um es noch einmal zu wiederholen:

Die Siebenten-Tags-Sabbate sind immer am selben Datum: Der 8., 15., 22. und 29. des Monats, und sie haben denselben Kalender wie die Festtage - den Mondkalender.

Der Grund, warum die meisten Juden heute den Samstag beibehalten, ist genau derselbe, aus dem die meisten Christen den Sonntag beibehalten - wegen Konstantins Kalenderänderung und der Verfolgungen, mit denen er diese Änderungen durchsetzte. Davor, 46-45 v.u.Z., hatte Julius Cäsar (der Julianische Kalender) die Monate und Wochen vom Mond getrennt und einen kontinuierlichen Acht-Tage-Zyklus eingeführt, den er aber nicht bei anderen Nationen innerhalb des Reiches durchsetzte.

Im Jahr 321 u.Z. schuf Konstantin einen Kompromisskalender. Er vermischte die hebräische Idee einer Sieben-Tage-Woche mit dem julianischen Konzept eines kontinuierlichen Wochenzyklusses und fügte die Verehrung des "Sonneng-ttes" aus dem Mithraismus hinzu, um den heute verwendeten römischen Kalender zu schaffen. Er setzte seinen Kalender im gesamten Römischen Reich mit militärischer Macht durch.

Aufgrund dieser Änderungen, die durch Verfolgungen im gesamten Römischen Reich durchgesetzt wurden, trat der jüdische Sanhedrin um 350 u.Z. zum letzten Mal zusammen und änderte seinen Kalender in die heute von den meisten Juden verwendete Form, in der der Sabbat auf den Samstag fällt. Die anderen Festtage werden nach einer Form des Mondkalenders festgelegt.

Der konstantinische Kalender wurde von Papst Gregor geringfügig in den heute verwendeten Kalender umgewandelt. Der wahre Kalender, der bei der Schöpfung festgelegt wurde, basiert jedoch auf den Mondphasen (1.Mo.1,14; Ps.81,3). Daher ist weder der Samstag noch der Sonntag der alttestamentliche Sabbat, und die internationale Datumsgrenze spielt überhaupt keine Rolle.
